Tutorial
The first men took their canoes to explore distant shores. Over the centuries, it was the time of the discovery of new continents. Then came the space age and the first beginnings of the human species outside its planet. It was therefore quite natural, when it became possible, for human beings to set out to discover the other planets that were near or far around their own. But after longs, very longs, reconnaissance expeditions, all the probes sent by our ancestors always returned the same verdict: no other planet, let alone another planetary system, could harbor life. Until the day when the unexpected happened: the Voyager 412 probe, launched a few hundred years earlier in the direction of the Orion system, and from which no one was waiting for the slightest signal, considering it lost, began to issue what was to become the salvation of the rest of humanity. A humanity now under the constraint of an imminent cataclysm which was to be of such violence that the current collective memory has itself forgotten the cause ... or caused it to be forgotten. Some of the inhabitants of our home planet therefore decided to migrate naturally to this new system. But the understanding between peoples having never been the strong point of the human species, almost everyone wanted to leave by their own means. The Orion system sheltering three planets, all three habitable, it was still decided to send the colonists to each of them, according to a choice which also remains a mystery to this day. As the journey was to be made over several centuries, the colonists were placed into cryo-stasis in autonomous modules, all equipped with the minimum to settle in and to be dropped when approaching the new planetary system of Orion ...
Below is a list of different messages displayed during the course of the tutorial :
- ... You hear me ? ...
- Perfect! You're finally awake.
I'm Samia, an Artificial Intelligence sent to help you.
During your waking phase, I took the liberty of deploying the Headquarters and the Communication Center for you...
(If you wish, my voice synthesis can be activated in the preferences, by clicking on your pseudonym, at the top right of the screen.)- Tip before you start:
Always keep in mind, build only what you need and only when necessary.
I am waiting for you at the Communication Center, to do this click on the left of your screen, in the sidebar, on Communication Center in the list of your buildings, or on the blue Colony tab then on the Details button of the thumbnail corresponding to the desired building.- You have received something to help you get started:
Some credits and some energy you will get by clicking on the cards:
You can find these cards on the center tile of your main Communication Center screen.- Note that you also have help screens, everywhere, by clicking on .
Take the bonus cards and let's meet at the Headquarters.
To access it, do the same way as to access the Communication Center, so either directly from the list of buildings on the left side panel or via the blue Colony tab then the Details button of the desired building thumbnail.- The Supercomputer provides Processing Units (PU), essential for most tasks.
Each PU corresponds to a Processor.
Allocate a Processor to the Supercomputer (by clicking on + to the right of Processors), then expand the Headquarters to level 2.- While developing the HQ,
let's go back to the Communication Center...- To contact the different services we need Satellites. Start by sending one (by clicking on + to the right of Satellites), and contact the Intergalactic Parliament, to obtain the permit to build the Power Station (by clicking on Constructions from the Intergalactic Parliament), and meet again at the Power Plant.
- Develop your Power Plant to level 1...
- Once this is done, contact the Intergalactic Parliament again, to obtain the building permit for the Housing Complex.
And go and visit it, we will meet again...- Very good!
Here live the settlers, essential for your labor in general, as well as for the construction of all your buildings.
Expand your Housing Complex to level 1...- Now that you have understood the principle, do the same for the Spaceport, and contact the General Store service to obtain your first ship:
an Explorer.
A purchase voucher for 3 ships is offered to you upon completion of level 1 of your Spaceport. Use one by clicking "Purchase Voucher" button during checkout. Once you have obtained your ship, click on the "Fleets" tab on the left menu.
We can then develop your first fleet !- To create your first fleet, select your ship from the list to add it to the fleet.
Then click on "Validate" button to give your fleet a name. This one is important, because it will allow you to locate it more easily later...- We will now send it on a mission.
The name of your fleet should have appeared in the menu, under the "Fleets" menu tab, so it is ready to go!
Click on it to see the detail, then click "Send".- You are now ready to explore!
Look for an available Level 1 mission (green time limit) by clicking on the red triangles, then click "Send".
If you can't find a level 1 mission, wait for another opportunity, or go to the list of "Missions" at the Tactical Information Center, at your Communication Center, or by clicking on the clock. You can send your fleet directly there...
I'll be waiting for you at the Communication Center...- Your fleet should now be on its way!
Take the opportunity to look at the information on your fleet screen.
You will notice in front of the speed information, this small logo , indicating that your fleet is equipped with the "Speed Multiplier x2".
It is offered to you, as long as you are at the rank of Recruit.
After this rank, it will then be available for purchase, at the DSC Bazar in your Communication Center, and you will need to equip your fleet with it, at each departure from the colony, if you want to benefit from it.- Contact the Intergalactic Parliament, to buy the building permits for the Research Center and the Training Center.
Develop them to level 1, you can then see 1 Researcher and 2 Technicians appear, which are automatically given to you for start.
Once that's done, let's meet at the Research Center...- Now you need to research the Photonics Technology.
Essential to be able to assign Cells to your Power Plant, and therefore produce energy.- To do this, assign a Researcher, previously trained at the Training Center, and launch the Photonics research.
- Once the research is done, you will be able to add Cells to your Power Plant.
Let's meet there.- If the Photonics research is complete, you should be able to add a Cell.
After that, I'll be waiting for you at the Communication Center...- When you can extract and therefore sell the ore, it can be done at DSC Miner, available here, as well as some other services.
Some services require more Satellites or Relays to be activated. So, for the Relays you will have to do the proper research to unlock them and be able to use them.- Always keep in mind, build only what you need and only when necessary.
Before developing a new level of a building, make sure that it is not enough to simply increase its components instead.- Each building component, such as the Cells of the Power Plant, can be increased/decreased within the limits imposed by the level of your building.
However, it is not possible to decrease the level of a building.
So Warning !!!- The tutorial is now complete, last tips:
1 - Go see the general help, by clicking on at the top left of your screen next to the clock, in particular the item named Various boards, and more specifically the section on Stealth attacks (also named Furtive).
2 - Launch the "Communication Relay" research as soon as possible, to access the various services of your Communication Center.
3 - Voting for the game, at the Intergalactic Parliament of your Communication Center, will earn you a few extra credits daily.
4 - You have a Reset Card, at your Communication Center, if you want to start again your adventure from the beginning.
Now it's your turn and good luck!
